Many of my clients have told me that they are unaware of what to expect when hiring a designer for their project. I thought it would be helpful to provide some resources for anyone who is ready to consider hiring a designer for their next project.
New Client Checklist
I love new clients. They have such a great, excited energy; they are usually thrilled to be expanding on their business, or improving on their brand. They are full of hope, and usually ideas. This is part of what makes my job fun.
Choosing the right web designer
Choosing the right web designer for your project is a very important decision. Being prepared will definitely help (please see New Client Checklist), but there are certain things that you will want to know about your potential new designer before jumping in and signing a contract with them. While there are many designers to choose from, and you don't have to hire one that is local to you, it can make consultations easier.
How long will my project take?
My clients always want to know when a project will be finished. Most of the time I can give them a timeframe with an approximate completion date (give or take a week) and stick to it, but other projects may go past deadline. There are many reasons that this may happen, but I stay in contact with my clients almost daily to ensure that things go as smoothly as they can and stay on schedule as much as possible.
